HAkron is a group of University of Akron students passionate about the ever-evolving world of technology. It seems that everyday, the pre-requisites for jobs both in and out of computer science related fields are growing further and further away from what is taught in the traditional classroom environment.

Our mission is to foster a collaborative community around teaching anyone about cutting edge software, hardware, programming tools, and other innovative technologies in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

Our weekly meetings are hosted by experienced officers of the HAkron team, as well as leaders in local tech companies. This year, we are trying harder than ever before to welcome otherwise unrelated majors into our program in a way that they can learn and apply these new found skills to their work and personal projects.
